Berlin, Berlin, we are going to Berlin!

On the most central location of Berlin, directly at Hackescher Markt, there is the skyscraper in the Rochstraße. With its proud 100 meters, called “The Windmill” because of its ground plan, it is the tallest residential building in Berlin. Four elevators bring you up to the 24th floor. In this building, which was a home of the privileged and dignitaries of the GDR, a well-lit holiday apartment is waiting in the 19th floor for you. Modern, quiet, and newly renovated, the Panorama Apartment Berlin City Centre offers you a fantastic view over Berlin’s historic centre, and enough space for a pleasant stay in Berlin.

The apartment was completely renovated and restored in 2008 by an interior designer. One wall in the hall was deliberately left as a concrete wall. The floor is furnished with a high quality Ardex stone floor. The handcrafted, wood-panelled podium with built-in wardrobe is the highlight of the apartment. The American kitchen, handmade by the carpenter, and the integrated wardrobe behind the door rounds off the exclusive furniture.

Brandenburg Gate from Pariser Platz. 15 minutes walk. holiday home Berlin centre

The Brandenburg Gate, here photographed from the Pariser Platz, is at 15 minutes walk. Completed in 1791, built by Carl Gotthard Langhans (who also designed the spire of the St Mary's Church), the Brandenburg Gate was originally one of the openings in the excise wall built around Berlin between 1734 and 1737, where an octroi (local tax) was levied on items entering the city. It gained its name, Brandenburg Gate, from the fact that it stood on the road that led towards Brandenburg an der Havel. By the middle of the 1800s, the urban area had grown so much beyond the wall's boundaries that it became irrelevant. The new towns around the outside of the wall were incorporated into Berlin, new excise buildings were built on the roads leading into the enlarged city and, in 1870, the wall was demolished, along with many of the gates. The Brandenburg Gate is now the only one still standing.

And to the serious travellers between you be said, also the Humboldt University, Charité, International Business Center, Foreign Office, Max-Planck-Institute, Instituto Cervantes, Goethe Institute, and more embassies than countries we know are also fantastic to achieve.
